After much deliberation, serious discussion and a ton of good laughs, the judges have finally come together and selected our 2009 You’re Breaking Up contest winners.

Congratulations to Monica Sass and Aedan Hoar!!!

For her video submission ‘Self Denial,’, Monica Sass has won a trip for two to the Sundance film festival. The judges absolutely loved the creativity in this piece and felt that it was a really well executed, fresh concept. Nice work!

For his unreal musical piece ‘I’ll Never Love Another Phone’, Aedan Hoar has won a trip for two to attend South by Southwest. The lyrics caught everyone's attention and the sound mixing on this one really sealed the deal for the judges. So catchy!!!

Additionally, in support of local talent, WirelessWave teamed up with York University to award a $2500CAD scholarship to the student whose entry best embodied the contest criteria, to help further their education and foster their talent. The scholarship has gone to Couzyn Van Heuvelen for his submission ‘Don’t You Cry’.

WirelessWave would like to thank everyone for all of the amazing submissions, votes, discussions and feedback that came in over the duration of the contest. We can’t wait to hear how hard SXSW rocks Aedan’s world, and how many celebs Monica is able to spot at Sundance.

We had a blast putting on this contest. We got to check out all the entries that came in every day and were able to give a ton of WirelessWave goodies away to voters, twitter followers and facebook fans through out the fall. Really it was hard on all of us but we toughed it out… ; )

In order to keep the good times rolling we have evolved the contest site into a new blog for everything from mobile phone related relationship advice, cool tech news, interviews with artists and tech experts, and a ton of contests throughout 2010. Stay in touch and let us know what you think!
